Hepatology is the study, management treatment of diseases that affect the liver, gallbladder, biliary tree and pancreas. The term Hepatology is derived from the Greek word “hepar” that means liver and “logia” that means study.

We support research studies including

  • Acute and chronic liver disease  including liver failure
  • The impact of identifying , screening and treating viral hepatitic
  • Liver fibrosis and cirrhosis
  • Normal and abnormal liver metabolism
  • Genetic  studies including pharmacogentics
  • Biomarkers
  • Hepatotoxicity
